Refuge Worker (African/Caribbean Communities) – Lambeth

Part time: 18 hours pw

Closing date: 4pm, Wednesday 28th April 2010.

You will have experience of supporting women in a refuge or community work setting, an understanding of domestic violence issues and a good knowledge of current welfare rights and domestic violence legislation. You should also have excellent case management skills, experience of liaising with external agencies and good written and verbal communication skills. In these front-line roles you will assist women to move to a life free from abuse using individual support plans as tools to develop a strategy for each woman.

An enhanced CRB disclosure will be required for this post.
