Peripatetic Domestic Violence Worker

You will deliver a high quality professional service to abused women living in our refuges and those who access our floating support services. Your role is to support colleagues by filling gaps created in the service by absence and annual leave and will be required to work from any of the above services.

Your role will entail providing invaluable practical and emotional support to women and their children, such as advocacy, support around welfare, housing and legal entitlements, and supporting women to move on to safe and permanent accommodation.

You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player.  You must have experience of providing support to women and knowledge of current welfare rights/civil/criminal legislation relating to domestic violence.

You will be required to work as part of an on-call rota
