Communications and Policy Intern
Refuge, the national domestic violence charity, is looking for an enthusiastic graduate intern to join our busy communications and policy department for a minimum of three months. If you have recently graduated and are looking for a short-term placement to help you break into the world of policy or communications, or you are hoping to change careers and need some experience in the charity sector, we would love to hear from you. You will be based at our head office in Tower Hill, central London, and we will reimburse your travel costs within London.
We make sure that all our interns gain valuable experience of:
- Working independently and in a team in a busy office environment
- Supporting national media and campaigning work
- Online communications
- Supporting national level policy and parliamentary work
- Independent project management
- Office administration
- Working for an organisation that provides services to victims of domestic violence
- Shadowing the Freephone 24 Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline, run in partnership between Women’s Aid and Refuge
