  • Full-time | Locations: Hastings, Wealden, and Eastbourne – easy commutes from Kent and Brighton.

You will have evidence of strong casework management skills, good written and verbal communication, and an understanding of the importance of maintaining clear professional boundaries. You will be required to work as part of an on-call rota.

What Refuge Workers say about the role:

“I love the fact that I don’t always know what my day will look like. I might have a plan for the day which has to change, because one of the women I’m working with has an emergency.”

“One day could include reviewing a woman’s risk assessment and safety plan, doing a health and safety check, managing a minor dispute between residents, and getting a room ready for a new arrival. You wear so many hats you never have time to get bored in this job!”

Benefits include 28 days’ holiday, a non-contributory pension scheme, employee assistance programme and child care voucher scheme.

An enhanced CRB will be required for these roles. All candidates must have a commitment to the values of empowerment, support and equality, which underpin all the work undertaken by Refuge.
