Refuge is the country’s largest specialist provider of domestic violence services for women and children escaping domestic violence. We have the following opportunity for an experienced, committed female* Refuge Worker.

Refuge Worker (Ref 003BK)

c. £26,000 pa pro rata inc. ILW

Barking & Dagenham

(Part-time 18.75 hours per week)

This post involves delivering a professional service to abused women and children living in our refuges, including providing practical and emotional support.

You will have evidence of strong casework management skills, good written and verbal communication, and an understanding of the importance of maintaining clear professional boundaries. It is essential you have direct experience of providing support to women and an understanding of current welfare rights/civil/criminal legislation relating to domestic violence.

You will be required to work as part of an on-call rota.

An enhanced CRB will be required for this role. All candidates must have a commitment to the values of empowerment, support and equality, which underpin all the work undertaken by Refuge.
