Refuge, is the country’s largest specialist provider of domestic violence services for women and children escaping domestic violence. We have the following opportunity for a high calibre, committed female* applicant.
Deputy Manager – Hackney Asian refuge

Salary Circa £31,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week
Having secured future funding with local authorities in Hackney, we are now looking for a talented leader to manage this important service. You will be responsible for the accommodation based and floating support services.
This role requires an exceptional individual who wants to make a difference. You will have proven experience of managing and motivating staff as well as strong interpersonal and management skills. You must also have knowledge of domestic violence issues and experience of working in either a women’s refuge or residential setting. A recognised social work, housing or management qualification would be desirable.
Please note that for this role, candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of providing support to South Asian and South Eastern woman and must speak at least one Asian or South Eastern language.
As a member of the management team the post holder will be required to be available to deal with out of hours emergencies.
