Fundraising and Communications Interns
Refuge, the national domestic violence charity, is looking for 2 capable and enthusiastic graduate interns to join our busy Fundraising and communications departments for a minimum of 3 months. If you have recently graduated and are looking for a short-term placement to help you break into the world of charities or fundraising or you are hoping to change careers and need some experience in the charity sector, we would love to hear from you. You will be based at our head office in Tower Hill, central London, and we will reimburse your travel costs within London.
We make sure that all our interns gain valuable experience of:
- working independently and in a team in a busy office environment;
- different strands of fundraising, including individuals and events, corporates, major donors, and trusts and foundations;
- working with the Raiser’s Edge fundraising database;
- independent project management;
- effective communication with people both internal and external to the organisation;
- working for an organisation that provides services to victims of domestic violence, gained by shadowing members of staff outside the Fundraising department.
