National Domestic Violence Helpline Volunteer Coordinator – REF:046DVHC

Refuge, is the country’s largest specialist provider of domestic violence services for women and children escaping domestic violence. The National Domestic Violence Helpline run in partnership with Women’s Aid and Refuge is a gateway to women experiencing domestic violence to receiving refuge, information, support and referrals. We have the following opportunity for a high calibre, committed female* applicant.

Job Title:  National Domestic Violence Helpline Volunteer                         Coordinator                                                                                REF: 046DVHVC

Hours: 37.5 (some evenings and weekends included)

Salary: c£29,000

Location: Refuge Head Office

The post holder will work closely with volunteers for the National Domestic Violence Helpline and will be required to adhere to the agreed partnership helpline training format. As part of the role, the post holder will recruit, induct, train, allocate shifts, monitor and review the volunteer programme to ensure a quality service of support, information and referrals is given to callers experiencing domestic violence.

The post holder will work flexibly to meet the needs of volunteers assisting in maintaining a 24 hour service, ensuring that volunteers are appropriately allocated to meet the greatest need within the helpline at all times. The applicant will have 2 years experience providing emotional and practical support to those experiencing domestic violence.

An enhanced CRB is will be required for this role.
