Independent Domestic Violence Advocate REF: 002IDVACOV
30 hours per week – Fixed Term until 30 September 2012

In this exciting partnership-based service, you will provide court-based independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic violence who are accessing the civil and criminal justice systems in Coventry. You will work with survivors from the point of crisis, assisting them through the court process and offering intensive support to help ensure short and long-term safety.
If you have experience of providing support to women within a community-based setting, an understanding of the issues facing survivors of domestic violence and a detailed working knowledge of the civil and criminal justice systems then consider this fixed term opportunity to be part of a valuable team.
An enhanced CRB is will be required for this role. The post is located in a police station and is therefore also subject to the West Midlands Police Service vetting procedures.
