Refuge is well-known for its award-winning campaigns designed to raise awareness of domestic violence.
We aim to change attitudes and understanding about domestic violence.
Early Warning Signs – August 2008
With two women being killed every week in England and Wales by a current of former partner, Refuge launches a hard hitting early warning signs domestic violence campaign to save lives.
Rebuilding Lives – November 2006
Refuge marks its 35th Birthday with a new advertising campaign that illustrates the positive role Refuge plays in helping rebuild the lives of women who have experienced domestic.
Don’t Ignore It. They can’t – December 2005
Refuge speaks out on behalf of the silent witnesses of domestic violence with a new children’s advertising campaign.
Don’t Ignore Domestic Violence month – November 2005
Refuge and everywoman are working together to raise money and awareness of domestic violence. The public can show their support for Refuge by entering a prize draw which marks International Violence Against Women Day on 25th November.
Don’t ignore it – 2003-2005
This campaign uses a range of advertisements which raise awareness of domestic violence as an issue and which act as a metaphor for the way in which society continues to hide, excuse and ignore domestic violence.
Domestic violence is a crime. It must not be ignored.
Help stop domestic violence in the home – 2003/2004
‘Help Stop Violence in the Home’ was the biggest ever domestic violence campaign launched between a charity, a business.
Domestic violence – it’s a matter of life and death – 1999/2000
This award winning campaign was run in partnership with Waterstone’s and was supported by a week-long awareness raising campaign in The Sun newspaper.
Stop in the name of love – 2001
This was a year long awareness raising and fundraising campaign run in partnership with Cosmopolitan magazine.
