In 2001 Refuge and Cosmopolitan both celebrated their joint thirtieth birthday with a year long awareness raising and fundraising campaign.

Together Refuge and Cosmo arranged a star studded joint Thirtieth Birthday Party, a joint London Marathon Running Team – Thirty Runners for Thirty Years sponsored by All:Sports, arranged third party fundraising partnership with Estee Lauder and Debenhams and achieved widespread in depth coverage on the issue of domestic violence.
