Join our 2010 adidas Women’s 5k Challenge team!

Go Refuge Runners!

Refuge will once again be entering a team in the UK’s largest women only fun run on Sunday 5 September. This fabulous event boasts a fantastically fun and supportive atmosphere, so whether you’re looking to break the sound barrier or just to crawl over the finish line, you’re bound to have a fantastic day! This is a great opportunity to get all of the girls together for a fun day and to raise funds for women and children experiencing domestic violence at the same time – so don’t delay, sign up today!

To join our team, you need to secure a place from the event organisers at their website – www.womenschallenge.co.uk. Places cost £15. Please select Refuge from drop down menu A (this means that we receive a £5 donation!), and tick the box so that we can send you a fundraising pack and Refuge team t shirt.

We will not set you a specific fundraising target for this event – anything that you raise would be very gratefully received and would make a very real difference to our vital work.

For more information on how to join our team or if you have any questions please contact Harriet on 020 7395 7713 or fundraising@refuge.org.uk

Thank you to our 2009 team!

On 7 September 2009, our fabulous team of ‘Pink Ladies’ took part in the UK’s largest women-only fun run, helping Refuge to support women and children as they rebuild lives shattered by domestic abuse.

The Refuge team was made up of over 80 runners, including mother and daughter double-acts and groups of friends, and once again a fantastic level of support came from everywoman, the UK ’s leading provider of resources and services for women in business, who recruited over 30 of their members to run for our cause. Thank you to each and every one of our runners – we hope you’ll agree that it was a really fun-filled day!

Well done to our 2009 'Pink Ladies'!

Our 2009 team raised a fantastic £10,000 for Refuge. We are so grateful to all of our runners and to everyone who has sponsored them – thank you so much for your support for our vital work.
