Your company can make a big difference to women and children experiencing domestic violence. There are lots of ways to get involved from putting a team together for the Flora London Marathon to nominating Refuge as your Charity of the Year.

Our expert team will work with you to ensure the experience is mutually rewarding. Our domestic violence projects are local and national and no matter what you choose, we will be able to work with you so you can see see exactly how you are making a difference to the women and children who need us.
One woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point during her lifetime. It is therefore likely that we all have at least one colleague, friend or family member who has been affected but we probably don’t know it as domestic violence thrives on secrecy. But we all have a part to play in ending domestic abuse and ensuring women and children can live in safety – and by supporting Refuge you can do just that.

Other ways to get involved at work:
- Run for Refuge – in your own right or create a running team at work. We can secure you guaranteed places in a number of high profile running events including the London and New York Marathons and the British 10k London Run
- Undertake a challenge for Refuge – we can help organise a team building activity such as a group skydive, white water rafting adventure or outward bound weekend
- Organise an event – hold a dress down day, lunchtime quiz, cake sale, raffle or perhaps a sweepstake on a sporting event. All are great ways to get colleagues involved and create awareness of Refuge all while raising urgently-needed funds
- Matched giving – find out if your company would consider matching what you or your team raise, doubling your fundraising total
