Get your company and community group involved!
Perhaps you could set up a collection point in your office, encourage colleagues to participate in a phone amnesty, or distribute freepost envelopes around your office? Our mobile phone scheme really does make a difference: since 2005 the scheme has raised over £16,000 for us – this could pay for more than 90 children to receive a programme of 12 sessions of counselling from a Refuge psychologist, helping them to overcome the trauma of witnessing or experiencing abuse.
Please do dig that unused phone out of your drawer – it really is worth it!
