Run for Refuge in 2010

 

We’ll be entering a team in the 2010 BUPA London 10,000 and would love to have your support!

 

This fantastic 10k follows a spectacular route around central London that will showcase the city in the run up to the 2012 Olympics.  The event is organised by the teams behind the Virgin London Marathon and BUPA Great Run series and is an exciting fixture in the UK running calendar.

All Refuge runners receive:

A huge well done and thank you to the 37 runners who completed the 2009 BUPA London 10,000 for Refuge. We’re very grateful to everyone who ran and to all who sponsored them. So far, our team has raised over £10,000 to help women and children who are experiencing domestic violence.

Why Refuge?

One woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime so the likelihood is we all know someone who has been, or will be, affected.  Domestic violence is a serious crime that destroys lives but for nearly 40 years Refuge has been supporting the women and children fleeing the violence in their homes.   Your sponsorship will help Refuge reach out to even more women and children who desperately need support to rebuild their lives.
