Congratulations to our 2009 runners!

Congratulations to all of our fabulous runners who completed the Berlin Marathon on 20 September 2009!

Like the Virgin London Marathon, the Berlin event is one of the prestigious World Marathon 2007 Refuge Berlin runner Dean NashMajors, and it is fantastically supported – our Refuge runners were supported by over a million spectators, who came out to cheer the runners around the course.

This flat, fast event yet again once again saw a spectacular elite line-up, and the men’s race was won by the current men’s world record holder Haile Gebrselassie.

All of the Refuge runners who started this event managed to cross the finish line, which is a fantastic achievement. Even more importantly, they have helped to raise fantastic amount of money which will make a real difference to our work.

Thank you so much to all of our Berlin 09 runners – we hope you will always look back on your fantastic achievement with pride.

Thank you to all of our 2008 Berlin Marathon runners!
