Run to the Beat half marathon

Congratulations to our 2009 team!
On Sunday 27 September 2009, 23 fabulous runners took part in the Run to the Beat half marathon in London to raise funds for Refuge. This was the first time Refuge had ever entered a team in a half marathon event, so it was a very exciting day for everyone involved.
This unique event featured 17 live music stages along its leafy Greenwich route, with tracks scientifically selected to help runners stay motivated throughout the race. A fantastic time was had by all – and even more importantly, vital funds were raised to help Refuge to support women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
Thank you so much to all of our 2009 Run to the Beat runners – it’s been brilliant to have you on our running team.
Do you fancy taking on a half marathon challenge in aid of Refuge?
Refuge has places in three half marathon events throughout the year – the Run to the Beat in September, the Royal Parks in October, and the adidas Silverstone Half Marathon in March.
