On 25 April 2010, Refuge’s biggest ever London Marathon team (almost 50 runners!) took to the streets of London to run the 26.2 miles of the world’s best marathon. It was a fantastic day with glorious weather and the crowds of supporters were out in force – the London Marathon truly has an unbeatable atmosphere!

Every Refuge runner, whether they are aiming to break a world record or just to drag themselves over the finish line, is an absolute hero in our eyes. We are so grateful to every single Refuge runner for taking on this amazing, once-in-a-lifetime challenge to support women and children escaping domestic violence.

The national ballot for places in the 2011 event is now closed. However, Refuge does have some places available for supporters. Please note that we ask runners on a Refuge place to raise £1,800 for our work, and we also ask for a £100 non-refundable deposit (which will go towards your £1,800 target).
